BlackBerry Key2 is officially arriving on June 7 at New York Event

Hello everybody, This is Tanweer. Today i have interesting Tech News related to BlackBerry Key2 which is coming on June 7. This phone is also expected to feature a physical qwerty keyboard and come with some upgraded specs. BlackBerry Mobile Company tweeted on its official Twitter account  to officially announce the BlackBerry Key2 on June 7 in NewYork at 10:00 AM ET (7:30 PM IST).

 

 

The successor to the BlackBerry KEYone phone which the company had launched last year with BlackBerry’s signature QWERTY keypad and software security features. Presently there is no official word yet on the BlackBerry KEY2 specs, only we can say that BlackBerry KEY2 appears ready to be its successor on June 7, Lets see what happens ?

Recently, a BlackBerry device with code name Athena had received its WiFi and Bluetooth certification and was spotted on TENAA listing  that had revealed several specifications and other details of the alleged BlackBerry KEY2 and now BlackBerry has announced that the phone is ready and will launch on June 7 at an event in New York.

 

BlackBerry KEY2 Pricing

There is no rumour about the pricing of the BlackBerry KEY2  phone. According to my point of view, BlackBerry KEY2 price is expected to be Rs. 39,990 (approx $ 594) or more. Lets see what happens ?

 

BlackBerry KEY2 Specifications

According to a recent leak, The Bluetooth certifications reveal that there will be three variants of BlackBerry KEY2BBF100-1, BBF100- 2, and BBF100-6. This phone is also expected to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo. BlackBerry KEY2 is rumoured to come with dual lens cameras with 12 MP and 8MP sensors and an 8 MP front camera.

 

 

Based on what we have heard so far, The phone could be powered by an octa core Snapdragon 660 chipset with 6GB RAM and internal storage of 64GB. The phone will stick to the physical QWERTY keyboard design which is the hallmark of BlackBerry. The device seems to retain the 3:2 display aspect ratio and also have a 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C.

 

 

The TENAA listing also highlights that the handset will support 4G LTE and dual SIM support. This phone features a 4.5 inch Full HD IPS display with a 1080 x 1620p resolution. It is backed by a 3505mAh non-removable battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

 

CONCLUSION : BlackBerry KEY2 will succeed the KEYone which was launched last year. Blackberry, over the last two years has been trying different avatars to make a statement in the smartphone market. Now BlackBerry Key2 which is coming on June 7. According to me BlackBerry should make sure that these devices run on latest Android OS with a competitive price tag at the time of launch.
