OnePlus that is the Shenzen based manufacturer will follow its tradition of two devices a year as it generally launches a new generation of smartphone and then upgrades it with a ‘T’ device. However, when compared to previous trends, the OnePlus 6T is a drastically different device. An interesting piece of information has now surfaced online, showing an alleged invite for the India launch of the OnePlus 6T slated for October 17.

The leak comes to us courtesy a user on Chinese social media website Weibo, as reported by WCCFTech. The invite shows off the new tagline “Unlock The Speed”, which is likely a reference to the devices supposed use of an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Well if this is indeed the launch date, then we can expect the phone to come after Huawei’s Mate 20 series that is slated to launch on 16 October in London. One important thing is that older leaks suggest that OnePlus 6 successor may come with a camera upgrade that is a triple camera setup.

OnePlus 6T is said to launch on October 17, according to a screenshot shared by the company. Apart from the launch date, OnePlus 6T is expected to be priced Rs. 39,000 (approx $ 538) or more. Let’s see what happens?

OnePlus also noted that in addition to offering a new way to unlock the phone, it has also prompted a slight redesign over the existing OnePlus 6 Mobile. The OnePlus 6T Mobile will reportedly be 0.45 mm thicker than its predecessor to accommodate the new technology. Likewise, as the rear fingerprint sensor is no longer needed, the phone will have more of a unibody look.

When we talking about the internals, the main hardware should remain same as on the OnePlus 6. We will be seeing the same Optic AMOLED display but with a tiny notch. Under the hood, the device will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform along with Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB/8GB of RAM.

According to the leak, the OnePlus 6T Mobile will have triple cameras on the rear side, same as the Huawei P20 Pro and the upcoming LG V35. It will still be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
CONCLUSION: It is believed that OnePlus will use a teardrop display on the smartphone that’s similar to the one found on Oppo’s F7. OnePlus will launch under-the-display fingerprint recognition on the OnePlus 6T. It is a fact mentioned in the smartphone’s teaser.
