This new design change, along with the larger camera module design, can be seen in an alleged live image of the iPhone 14 Pro. The live image shared by tipster Duan Rui shows that the pill-shaped cutout is to the left of the centrally aligned hole-punch cutout. The earpiece occupies the top bezel, which was also the case with the iPhone 13 series.
A video on Weibo also revealed the new purple color option of the iPhone 14 Pro, which has a matte finish on the back. Like the previous Pro model, the camera module has a glossy finish. We can also see the frame with a purple finish. Apple is likely to use a stainless steel frame for the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, but rumors suggest that a sturdier titanium frame may be used this time around.
There are only a few days left for the launch of the iPhone 14 series. While the leak comes from a well-known tipster, it is advisable to take the leaked live images with a pinch of salt as it could be a dummy prototype of the phone.
iPhone 14 Pro Specifications
The upcoming iPhone 14 Pro will have a 6.1-inch display, while the Max variant will have a 6.7-inch screen. Both models will feature Super Retina XDR 120Hz display. At the back, the triple-camera setup is rumored to have a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera.
The iPhone 14 series is said to continue to offer a 12MP front camera. Apple will pack all four models with 6GB of RAM but the Pro model will get a faster, upgraded A16 Bionic chip under the hood. The standard 14 and 14 Max are rumored to feature the iPhone 13’s A15 Bionic SoC.
The 14 Pro is also said to pack a bigger iPhone 14 Pro, which will house a 3,200mAh battery, which is bigger than the 13 Pro’s 3,095mAh battery. On the other hand, the 14 Pro Max will pack a 4,323mAh battery. Other details of the iPhone 14 series will be confirmed at the Far Out Apple event on September 7.
