Apple may launch two new MacBook Pro machines with 14-inch and 16-inch displays and the new M2 Pro and M2 Max SoCs this year. The company hasn’t officially confirmed any details but DigiTimes claims that the new MacBook Pro machines are indeed coming this year.

Earlier, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claimed that Apple’s 14-inch and 16-inch Pro MacBooks are in development and testing phase. The tipster claimed that both the models are powered by the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets. The design is likely to remain the same. This means the MacBook Pros will have flatter edges for the chassis, a notch at the top of the display for the webcam, multiple ports, etc.

It is currently unknown whether the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips will be built on the 3nm process and are ready for commercial use. If not, Apple may launch its new chipsets based on the 5nm process.
